Nigerian Air Force plane crash in Ondo State kills 25, including civilian family members

What happened
A Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 aircraft crashed near a naval base in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State on Monday, 5 October, killing everyone on board. The Air Force put the toll at 25 on Tuesday, lowering an earlier figure of 32, and said civilian family members travelling with the crew were among the victims. President Bola Tinubu declared three days of national mourning and ordered an investigation.
Families across Nigeria are mourning service members and relatives who were travelling together when the aircraft came down.
