Java Sea ferry sinking: 64 dead and 71 still missing
What happened
The passenger ship Virgo Transport 8 capsized in the Java Sea while sailing from Surabaya to Banjarmasin with 213 passengers and 30 crew. By 27 September rescuers had recovered 64 bodies and 108 people had been rescued, while 71 people remain missing as the search continues.
