What happened
Four people were killed and two were seriously burned on Thursday, 15 October, when a wildfire trapped a team of national park staff, fire-brigade members and local volunteers in Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park in East Java, Indonesia, police said. Indonesia is battling its worst forest fires in more than a decade, and toxic haze from fires on Borneo and Sumatra has spread over parts of Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
