What happened
The death toll from an explosion and gun attack at a police headquarters in northern Pakistan rose to at least 31, with more than 100 others injured, after attackers stormed the Old Police Lines complex in Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, on 18 September. According to current reports, at least 31 people have been reported killed and more than 100 injured. Earlier reporting on the day of the attack gave lower figures as the toll rose. Figures may change as the situation develops.
In Kohat, Pakistan, families are burying those killed in the mosque bombing and more than a hundred injured people are being treated. Funerals were held in the city the day after the attack.
